bag of faces

a dog for a friend,

a cat for a parent.

a chicken for a classmate,

a songbird for a teacher.

with me i carry

a bag of faces,

collected from the corners of the world

and each moment,

each minute,

i switch between them

from cow,

to fish

to tiger.

each crafted to suit a persons taste

each individually sewn to hide the mistakes,

the loose threads on the back,

the paint splatters underneath.

all for all, again and again
