my life in a manufactured world

everything i see

everything i touch

everything i breathe

the poetry i write

all intended and designed

i give no real purpose

wearing my plastic clothing and eating my dosed chemicals

chemicals they tell me will help me ignore this manufactured world

advertisements inescapable from my eyes

everything designed to pull and grab at me

for i am but a product to be sold and preyed upon

and it is my job as a member of society to come to terms with that fate.

as it is yours too.

for what can we really do

when everything we see

everything we touch

and everything we breathe

is manufactured.
