drowning under a crystal sky

sometimes i like to look up

up i see a sky

a dark sky

gray stone clouds sink under their weight

small sparkles shy away into their abyss

and there’s always one looking down back at me

a glowing round eye

shining down

watching

protecting

telling me

“we are alone”

“but we are alone together”

it’s light may be cold

it may be weak

but at least i know it will always be there

always watching me

always protecting me

always telling me

“we are alone”

“but we are forever alone together”
